Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is set to join newly-promoted Ipswich Town on a season-long loan deal. A number of Premier League clubs were interested in signing Phillips but the Tractor Boys appear to have won the race, with the deal expected to be completed before the weekend.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton & Hove Albion are believed to have triggered the £40m release clause in the contract of Leeds United forward Georginio Rutter. The Frenchman is thought to have agreed to the move and will head to Brighton for a medical before completing the deal with the Premier League side.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has signed a new contract until the summer of 2027, with the option for a further year. Speaking about his extension, he said: "I wouldn't have signed this contract if I didn't believe that my best moments in a United shirt are still to come."

Ipswich Town are in discussions with Napoli over a season-long loan deal for Jens Cajuste, whose switch to Brentford recently broke down. The Tractor Boys are also weighing up whether to offer Steven Alzate a contract, with the midfielder training with the club.

Aston Villa

Manchester United have completed the signings of Bayern Munich defensive duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui. Dutch centre-back De Ligt has put pen to paper on a five-year deal, while Morocco wing-back Mazraoui has agreed a four-year contract, with the deal worth a reported £60m combined.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace co-owner and chairman Steve Parish has warned that his club will only allow central defender Marc Guehi to leave for "superstar money". The 24-year-old England international has been the subject of three bids from Newcastle United, having featured in six of England's seven games at Euro 2024.
