The England man currently plays for Newcastle but the Magpies' interest in Reds' defender Joe Gomez has led to talk of the clubs being heavily involved in each other's business before the transfer deadline. Despite coming through at Everton, its believed that Gordon would be open to moving to Anfield.

Atletico Madrid have told Chelsea's Conor Gallagher that he has until the end of the weekend to decide if he wants to join them. The England midfielder has been informed by Enzo Maresca that he will only be a squad player at Stamford Bridge and the two clubs have agreed a fee of £34m. Gallagher is said to be interested in the move but Atletico have told him that their offer will only stand until the end of the weekend.

Newcastle United
